Code of Conduct

This code of conduct applies to all members of the local oversight group for each location.

Who is in the local oversight group?

Each local oversight group ideally contains:

  • The incumbent (vicar) of the parish
  • The Principal of the school and another relevant staff member
  • 2 PCC representatives
  • 1 Governor representative
  • 1 community representative
  • 1 Encounter team representative (responsible for reporting to the project board)
  • 2 pupils and young people representatives

Code of Conduct

In any decisions or advice offered, members of the oversight group will have a duty to consider the interests of those within our schools and communities that we are looking to serve and work alongside. This will be done with respect at all times, treating all with courtesy and acting through Christian love.

In the way that they work together the oversight group should be aware of and accept the ‘7 guiding principles of public life:’

  • Selflessness
  • Integrity
  • Objectivity
  • Accountability
  • Openness
  • Honesty
  • Leadership
